In this collection “Paints” I wanted to explore how a tapestry might come together when created from more fluid, gentle artistic expression - Water Colors. I wanted to test how painted expression might translate into fibers and how colors might also be expressed. I also asked the question in the case of this piece ‘how might it scale?’

This piece was created with soft to the touch yarn such as Worsted Organic Cotton and denser crochet acrylics using primarily a soumak stitch.

it’s an eye catching final outcome; bold, painterly, graphic and evoking an almost 80s nostalgia.
